Education:
- M.Sc. Ethnology and Cultural Anthropology (University of Ljubljana, 2015)
- Ph.D. Ethnology, Cultural and Social Anthropology (University of Ljubljana, 2021)
Research Interests:
She specializes in historical anthropology and the anthropology of food. Within her historical interests, she uses anthropological apparatus to examine Habsburg Central Europe in the second half of the long 19th century, particularly in light of changes in the role of animals, the rise of the bourgeoisie, associational life, and natural sciences. She approaches the role of food in society in a more classical anthropological manner, namely through ethnographic research. Her interest in both fields also informs her interest in the formation and shaping of various collective identities (e.g., national, ethnic, regional).
