The lecturers at the Postgraduate School ZRC SAZU participate in research programmes and projects funded by the Slovenian Research Agency (ARRS). The research teams in research programmes are made of a large number of researchers who have successfully completed Ph.D. and whose research on some common theme and field of study lasts over a longer period (five years, for example). The research teams in research projects are smaller, individual researchers are from different institutions (universities, institutes), and the objectives of these projects are expected to be realized in a shorter period (three years, for example). While the basic funding comes from national research programmes and basic and applied projects, the lecturers at the Postgraduate School ZRC SAZU also participate in numerous international projects. Their teaching reflects their innovative and topical research. The students become acquainted with new methodological approaches, up-to-date themes and most recent insights.
