Research interests
His main interests involve studies on flora and vegetation in Slovenia and Europe. From collecting field data to analyzing patterns and understanding environmental and anthropogenic drivers shaping the patterns. The majority of his field work is focused on vegetation sampling in Slovenia and Montenegro, including but not limited to weed and ruderal vegetation, wetlands and dry grasslands. The topic of his PhD studies – analyzing patterns and drivers in weed and ruderal vegetation in Europe – still underlines much of his work in international collaboration projects and papers, for example distribution maps of European vegetation alliances, review of methodology in weed vegetation field sampling, and maps and statuses of European alien species.
