Dear young researchers, dear students of Postgraduate School ZRC SAZU!
This year’s 9th ZRC SAZU Early Career Researchers’ Symposium will be held in Ljubljana on 11 and 12 November 2021 (either at the Geographical Museum ZRC SAZU, hybrid form or via ZOOM, depending on the epidemiological situation).
The pandemic has radically changed the world since we live in a time called “the new reality”. At least for a while, our social space has been limited to a more intimate space, and therefore many activities have changed and moved to the digital world. In addition, nature and the urban environment have also changed a lot, for a while they began to breathe and showed us the consequences of our choices for the planet.
The main theme of the 9th Symposium is Science and Environment. We kindly invite you to present your views and thoughts on the response of science to changes in the social, natural or digital environment. Moreover by sharing your own experiences of the impact of change on your scientific work and research.
If the main topic of the symposium does not address your current work, you can apply to a so-called open panel and we will be happy to listen to the presentation of your current research.
Applications are accepted up to and including Friday, September 24, 2021, to the email address anja.cizel (at) zrc-sazu.si. The application should include the title of the paper, an abstract of 150-250 words, your email address and your affiliation (institute or study module). Papers can be written in Slovenian or English.
