Call for participants for study visit to archaeological parks in Italy, Albania, Slovenia, Greece and Croatia during the Summer 2022!
The Adrion project TRANSFER has opened a Call for Expression of Interest for young people who are passionate and interested in history, archaeological parks, traveling, and experiencing different cultures and cultural heritage in general.
If you are willing to travel abroad for 7 days (travel days included) to one of the participating countries in order to reaslise a study visit of one of the archaeological parks and to evaluate and
contribute to the valorization of cultural heritage, this is the right call for you!
1. About the project
The TRANSFER Project is co–financed by the European transnational programme ADRION (Interreg V–B Adriatic–Ionian Programme) which promotes cooperation between eight countries:
Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Greece, Italy, Montenegro, Serbia and Slovenia.
The aim of the programme is to support innovative governance between partner countries, making use of their natural, cultural, and human resources and, at the same time, enhancing
economic, social, and territorial cohesion in the Adriatic and Ionian Region.
The goal of TRANSFER is to develop, transfer and disseminate a Common Governance Model for the management of archaeological parks that goes beyond the traditional conservation approach,
to open up for the valorization of cultural heritage into sustainable development opportunities and growth. This will be achieved through a bottom–up approach involving all the key actors in a
process of territorial consensus.
The Common Model will be tested through pilot actions that will be carried out in 6 archaeological parks (test areas of the project): Urbs Salvia in Italy, Antigonea in Albania, Poetovio in Slovenia,
Dodona in Greece, Bribirska Glavica and Velika Mrdakovicaj in Croatia, and Mirine–Fulfinum in Croatia.
The lessons learned from the Pilot Actions together with the input coming from the local communities, relevant stakeholders, and experience from young people during the study visits,
will be used to finally review the Common Model.
