Mija Michelizza (17 January 1981) is a researcher at the Department of Lexicology of the Fran Ramovš Institute of the Slovenian Language. Her research work mainly focusses on the contemporary lexicology and lexicography, also in relation to the innovations brought by the Internet and other electronic media, language consulting and determinologized lexis in general explanatory dictionaries.

 

She is a lexicographer participating in the making of the Dictionary of the Slovenian Standard Language, 3rd Edition (eSSKJ). She is a member of the editorial board of the Language Consulting (Jezikovna svetovalnica) and heads the Section for Lexis at the Association of Slavic Societies of Slovenia (ZDSDS), which celebrates the International Dictionary Day on 16 October each year.
