Research interests

Nina Ledinek (born 27 September 1980) is a researcher in the Department of Lexicology. Her research focuses on contemporary lexicography and lexicology, terminology, and corpus linguistics. She is involved in the development of the 3rd edition of the Dictionary of the Slovenian Standard Language (eSSKJ; 2016–) and The School Dictionary of the Slovenian Language. She also answers questions on the Language Advisory Service site. She is a member of the editorial boards of the Fran, Franček, and Franja dictionary portals.

Mija Michelizza (17 January 1981) is a researcher at the Department of Lexicology of the Fran Ramovš Institute of the Slovenian Language. Her research work mainly focusses on the contemporary lexicology and lexicography, also in relation to the innovations brought by the Internet and other electronic media, language consulting and determinologized lexis in general explanatory dictionaries.

 

She is a lexicographer participating in the making of the Dictionary of the Slovenian Standard Language, 3rd Edition (eSSKJ). She is a member of the editorial board of the Language Consulting (Jezikovna svetovalnica) and heads the Section for Lexis at the Association of Slavic Societies of Slovenia (ZDSDS), which celebrates the International Dictionary Day on 16 October each year.

Research interests

Alenka Jelovšek (10 April 1984) is a researcher at the Section for the History of the Slovenian Language. In her research she focusses on the Slovenian literary language of the 16th century, especially on the development of orthographical norms and personal pronouns; additionally, she researches the development of forms of address in Slovenian through history. In her work she tests the possibilities of using modern language technologies to analyze historical texts. She is a co-author and co-editor of the Dictionary of the 16th-Century Slovenian Literary Language (Vol. 1 A–D published in 2021, an ongoing dictionary on the Fran portal since 2022), member of the editorial board and technical editor of the journal Jezikoslovni zapiski and member of the editorial board of Language Counselling web portal. Through occasional appearances in media she presents topics in Slovenian language history to the general public and deals with some modern orthographical questions.
